Keynote Speaker-Kim Coles

We are pleased to welcome back talk show host, comedian and actress Ms. Kim Coles as our keynote speaker. She is best known for her portrayal of Sinclair on the hit television show, "Living Single", a role that garnered her 4 NAACP Image award nominations. Ms. Coles is the host of the popular game show "Pay it Forward" on BET, making her the 1st African American Woman to ever host a primetime game show.

Kim is ever evolving. In January, she let go of her trademark braids she has had for 20 years to go all natural! This decision to reveal her natural locks tranformed her in ways of thinking and being. She will speak about her new found freedom that has made her appreciate who she is even more and how you can find the courage to love your authentic self !

DeLores Pressley

Returning to the Fuller Woman Expo is DeLores Pressley, who was our keynote speaker in 2009. We are so happy to have her back with us. She is a motivational Speaker, Founder and Principal of DeLores Pressley Worldwide and the BornSuccessful Institute. She always brings an impressive blend of personal and professional experience to her presentations that allow her to connect with her audience, inspiring and energizing them to take their confidence and success to the next level.

Having spent 27 years teaching elementary school students, DeLores knows a thing or two about inspiring others to achieve their potential. During her teaching tenure, she also founded a successful modeling agency for plus-sized women. The experience helped her find the confidence she needed to succeed and served as a foundational experience for DeLores Pressley Worldwide.  DeLores has appeared on every major TV network: ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX, including America’s top shows OPRAH and Entertainment Tonight. She has been profilee and quoted in national publications; Glamour, New York Daily News, Ebony, Chicago Tribune, First for Women, Chicago Sun Times, Essence and People magazine. She has spoken to more than more than 100,000 people in over 60 major cities and countries.

Every year we discuss ways we can elevate the plus community. This years topic is

"Plus positivity in a negative society"

We will have a candid conversation with you in regards to health, beauty, fashion and media in an effort to help us all decipher what is really said when they speak of us and offer tools that will assist us in changing the conversation.

Now more than ever we see "curvy" the topic of conversation in all aspects of society. When they speak of us, what are they really saying? Is their discussion of us exploitive or should we  just be happy to be referenced?
Welcome to the Curvy Revolution
